Access is part of public infrastructure
EthicsNet aims to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA across its public website. The site uses semantic landmarks, a skip link, keyboard-operable navigation, visible focus, captions and a transcript for the explainer, reduced-motion and reduced-transparency preferences, high-contrast adaptations, and responsive reflow.
Current validation
On 12 August 2026, the candidate passed automated HTML validation and Lighthouse accessibility checks. Keyboard menu operation, Escape close and focus return, video activation, custom 404 behaviour, and 320 CSS pixel reflow were also tested.
Known limits
Automated checks cannot establish complete accessibility. Physical VoiceOver and TalkBack review, browser zoom across all pages, caption review by a deaf or hard-of-hearing reader, and wider forced-colours testing remain part of the release review.
Report a barrier
Use Nell Watson's contact page and begin with “EthicsNet accessibility”. Include the page, the barrier, your browser or assistive technology when comfortable, and the outcome you were trying to reach.
